Professional Background
Dr. Liz Torres is a board-certified Clinical Psychologist with decades of experience working with individuals and couples through major life transitions. She completed her training at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Torres served on the faculty at Harvard for over 20 years, where she supervised and trained professionals in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness while maintaining a full clinical practice.

Dr. Torres takes a thoughtful and structured approach to care, helping patients build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and stability.

After returning to California in 2018, Dr. Torres has focused much of her work on supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and those who care for them. She brings a calm, experienced perspective to each patient interaction, grounded in decades of clinical work and teaching.
Personal Note
Dr. Torres was recently elected to the Board of the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego. She and her husband of nearly 30 years enjoy spending time outdoors and taking in all that San Diego has to offer.
