FAQs

  • What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that the nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, and organ of the body.

  • What is subluxation?
A misalignment of one or more of your spinal bones (vertebrae), which causes interference to your nervous system.

  • What is an adjustment?
A gentle, specific movement delivered by hand or instrument in order to correct a spinal subluxation(s). This allows for a healthy spine and nervous system.

  • Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Statistics prove that chiropractic care is one of the safest types of health care in the world.

  • Is chiropractic good for children or elderly people?
Chiropractic is good for all patients, because chiropractic care focuses on the health of the spine and nervous system. Different techniques are used for children and the elderly due to their spine’s delicate nature.

  • What causes the sound made during a chiropractic adjustment?
The sound is not your spine “cracking” or “popping” like most people think. That sound is created by gas (in this case, nitrogen) rushing in to fill the partial vacuum created when the joints are slightly separated.

  • Will my insurance cover chiropractic?
Many insurance plans cover chiropractic. We will first verify your benefits when you come to our office for your first visit.
